Return and Refund Policy
This Return and Refund Policy is governed by Dutch law. Mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in your country of residence within the European Union remain fully applicable.
At Lab Jewels, we want every customer to be satisfied with their purchase.
If a product does not meet your expectations, you may make use of our return and refund policy. This policy has been drawn up in accordance with European consumer protection legislation.
Return period
You have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days after receipt.
After registering your return, you have an additional 14 days to return the product.
Conditions for returns

The product must be returned in its original condition.

The original packaging (including the jewellery box) must be reasonably intact.

You may unpack and try on the jewellery only to the extent necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would do in a physical store.

Use that goes beyond what is necessary for assessment (for example prolonged wear, wearing during daily activities or special occasions) may result in depreciation, which we may deduct from the refund amount.
Inspection of returned jewellery
All returns are inspected by a jewellery expert with knowledge of precious metals and gemstones. The expert assesses whether a product has only been tried on or whether it shows signs of use beyond what is necessary, which may result in depreciation.

Hygiene exception for earrings
For earrings, a statutory exception to the right of withdrawal applies for reasons of health protection and hygiene. The right of withdrawal expires once the seal has been broken after delivery.
To allow you to assess the earrings without breaking the seal, we supply earrings in transparent, sealed packaging. This enables you to view the product and decide whether you wish to keep it, without opening the packaging.
Important: We explicitly inform you of this hygiene exception before purchase, on the product page and during the checkout process.
What we refund

The full purchase price of the product, and

The standard shipping costs you paid to receive the order.
Any additional delivery options you selected (such as express shipping or evening delivery) are not refunded.
What you pay yourself
The return shipping costs are borne by the customer, unless the return is due to an error on our part (such as an incorrect or defective product). In that case, we will fully reimburse the return shipping costs.
Refund period
We will refund you no later than 14 days after you have informed us that you wish to withdraw from the agreement.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product, or until you have provided proof that the product has been returned.
Refunds are processed using the same payment method that was used for the original transaction.
How to register a return

Send an email to info@lab-jewels.nl stating your order number and the reason for return.

You will receive the return instructions from us.

Carefully package the product and return it to the address provided.

After receipt and inspection of the return shipment, you will receive a confirmation and we will initiate the refund.

How long is the cooling-off period?
You have a 14-day cooling-off period after receipt of your order. After registering your return, you have an additional 14 days to return the product.
